It’s not a Masterclass. It’s more like,
“Here’s what I’ve figured out so far… what do you think?”
TV On Mars is a place for writers.
It’s where I explore the principles and strategies of storytelling that I’ve learned from my journeys across the entertainment industry — but it’s not a Masterclass. It’s more like, “Here’s what I’ve figured out so far… what do you think?”
My background is in screenwriting — specifically one-hour TV dramas — so that’s the lens I bring to most of what I share. Some posts will be hyper-specific to that world. But a lot of it, I hope, will have crossover value no matter what kind of stories you’re telling.
You can expect posts about the craft: how to turn inspiration into a finished episode, how to build compelling characters, how to improve your worldbuilding, and more. I’ll share tips, tools, and templates — things I’ve used or created — and gradually build a library of resources for writers looking to stretch their legs (or fingers, I guess).
I also want to talk about life as a Script Coordinator! How the workflow functions on a real TV show, and all the weird little things you don’t learn in most screenwriting courses. I’ll post marked-up script pages, production breakdowns, and details that live somewhere between technical and practical.
I might dip into more narrative writing, too — we’ll see. If you stick around, let me know what you’re interested in. I’d love for this to be a conversation.
